In 1922, the Gas-Powered Baby Pram by Dunkley's Limited of London, England, was the pram of choice for many new and expecting parents. It was propelled by a small gas engine fastened to an under-wheel at the rear of the pram. It was easy to navigate and could travel a little over 6 kilometres per hour without vibration to the buggy. The same wheeled extension also provided a foot-stand for the child's nurse to travel in tow.
